Watch Morning Highlights of Stock Market


Asian stocks fell on Thursday after the Federal Reserve signaled a faster timetable for raising rates,where Japan's Nikkei .N225 slipped 0.7 percent while the Australian market lost 0.8 percent.
The S&P BSE Sensex was down 40.10 points or 0.18% to 21,792.76. The index declined 86.44 points at the day's low of 21,746.42 in early trade. The index fell 20.40 points at the day's high of 21,812.46 in early trade.
The CNX Nifty was down 14.50 points or 0.22% to 6,509.55. The index hit a low of 6,497.90 in intraday trade. The index hit a high of 6,516.70 in intraday trade.
The BSE Mid-Cap index rose 8.78 points or 0.13% to 6,748.36. The BSE Small-Cap index gained 16.50 points or 0.25% to 6,736.85. Both these indices outperformed the Sensex.
Capital goods pivotals declined. L&T (down 0.53%) and Bharat Heavy Electricals (Bhel) (down 1.26%) declined.
The market breadth, indicating the overall health of the market, was positive.
