After a volatile day of trade, the market ended on a flat
note. The Sensex ended up 34.09 points at 27831.10, and the Nifty was up 14.95
points at 8355.65. About 1681 shares have advanced, 1255 shares declined, and
110 shares are unchanged. SBI gained 3.5 percent while ONGC, Tata Power, Tata
Motors and Cipla were top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers were BHEL,
GAIL, HUL, Bajaj Auto and L&T.
