After volatility seeping in the market in last hour of trade, the market ended lower. The Sensex was down 41.77 points at 27645.53 and the Nifty was down 8 points or 0.1 percent at 8365.65. About 1443 shares advanced, 1303 shares declined, and 159 shares were unchanged.

Hero MotoCorp and Wipro were up 2 percent
while Vedanta, Infosys and Tata Steel were top gainers. On the losing, HDFC,
Tata Motors, ONGC, Bajaj Auto and HUL.
