Today Market Opening

The market has started off Thursday's session on a strong note, led by short covering following weakness in previous three consecutive sessions. The 30-share BSE Sensex rallied 161.13 points or 0.63 percent to 25,614.69 and the 50-share NSE Nifty climbed 56.85 or 0.74 percent to 7,773.85.
The market has opened on a firm note this morning, tracking positive global cues.

• The Sensex is up 158 points or 0.62% at 25,611.56, while the Nifty is up 43 points or 0.56% at 7760.00.

Indian broad indices showed bearish movement and closed on negative note. On sectorial front PSU Bank, PSE and Metal were down while IT sector was up by 1.12%.

•  Sensex was down by 242 points at 25453 & Nifty went down by 68 points to settle at 7717 level.
