Live Intraday Stock Market Morning Update

The market opened marginally lower on Monday. The Sensex fell 84.28 points to 26341.02 and the Nifty declined 25.30 points to 7957.60. About 397 shares have advanced, 316 shares declined, and 79 shares are unchanged on the BSE. Vedanta and Cairn India climbed more than 2 percent after the board of directors of both companies approved merger. Tata Power also saw buying interest on power tariff hike.

However, Infosys fell 0.8 percent as the stock is quoting ex-bonus today

The Indian rupee opened lower by 9 paise at 64.15 per dollar versus 64.06 yesterday. The euro traded lower after efforts on ending a deadlock between greece and its creditors broke  up in failure over the weekend.

Live Stock Market Morning Update

The S&P BSE Sensex started on a cautious note in trade on Friday tracking muted trend seen in other Asian markets. The fall in the markets was led by losses in Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, L&T, HDFC Bank and Axis Bank.

The 50-share Nifty index slipped below its crucial psychological support level of 7950, weighed down by losses in power, oil & gas, capital goods and banking stocks.
Reliance Industries rose as much as 1.2 per cent ahead of its 41st AGM which is later today. Analysts are expecting the company to announce launch date, total capex and future plans for Rel Jio at the AGM. Rel Jio has invested about Rs 30,000 crore till now in the telecom business.

Nifty ends below 8150, Sensex slumps 351 pts; ITC sinks 5%

The Sensex ended down 351.18 points or 1.3 percent at 26837.20 and the Nifty slipped 101.35 points or 1.2 percent at 8135.10. About 622 shares advanced, 2111 shares declined and 121 shares were unchanged
NTPC, Infosys, Coal India, Bharti Airtel and HDFC Bank were top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are Tata Power, ITC, ONGC, SBI and GAIL.

Nifty breaks 8400, Sensex falls over 100 pts; ITC slumps 1%
The market has opened flat ahead of RBI monetary policy review today. The Sensex is up 17.97 points at 27866.96 and the Nifty is up 1.35 points at 8434.75.

Sensex falls 150 pts, Nifty below 8300; Tata Motors dips 6%

The market has opened on a weak note dragged by poor March quarter corporate earnings of key companies. The Sensex is down 138.45 points or 0.5 percent at 27392.96, and the Nifty is down 53.05 points or 0.6 percent at 8286.30. About 195 shares have advanced, 448 shares declined, and 70 shares are unchanged. Tata Motors tanks 6 percent while Dr Reddy's Labs, Wipro, M&M and Vedanta are major laggrds. BHEL is up 1 percent.Sun Pharma, Bharti Airtel, ITC and ONGC are top gainers in the Sensex. 

The Indian rupee has breached 64 level in opening trade, down 7 paise to 64.05 a dollar from 63.98 percent in previous session.
