Stock Market Opening Bell

After a stellar rally yesterday, the market has opened with marginal gains on Friday.  The Sensex is up 74.17 points at 28520.29 and the Nifty is up 12.75 points at 8620.80. About 627 shares have advanced, 137 shares declined, and 79 shares are unchanged.
 Sun Pharma, Hindalco, Hero MotoCorp, L&T and Wipro are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are Axis Bank, Coal India, Tata Motors, GAIL and Maruti.
 The rupee has opened flat at 63.51 per dollar on Friday against 63.51 Thursday.

After a massive rally in late trade yesterday, the market has opened with gains on Tuesday. The Sensex is up 85.75 points or 0.3 percent at 28294.51 and the Nifty is up 28.55 points or 0.3 percent at 8550.70. About 657 shares have advanced, 107 shares declined, and 59 shares are unchanged. HDFC, Tata Steel Wipro, Cipla and Coal India are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are Hindalco, Dr Reddy's Labs, Reliance, NTPC and ONGC.

Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, SBI, AXis Bank and Hindalco are major laggards in the Sensex with no stock in green at the moment. Greek banks and stock markets are shut today while European central bank has decided to keep the emergency funding to the country's banks at current levels.

Sensex plunges over 500 pts, Nifty below 8250 on Greek woes
Amid Greek uncertainty, the market has opened with some sever losses. The Sensex is at 27293.25, down 518.59 points or 1.86 percent. The Nifty is down 153.25 points or 1.83% at 8227.85.
 About 136 shares have advanced, 862 shares declined, and 69 shares are unchanged. Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, SBI, Axis Bank and Hindalco are major laggards in the Sensex with no stock in green at the moment.

The Indian rupee declined in the early trade. It has opened lower by 20 paise at 63.84 per dollar versus Friday's closing of 63.64.

Dragged by Greek debt woes the market has opened lower on June F&O expiry day. The Sensex is down 90.20 points or 0.3 percent at 27639.47 and the Nifty is down 24.60 points or 0.3 percent at 8336.25. About 226 shares have advanced, 223 shares declined, and 75 shares are unchanged.
Infosys, Tata Motors, Hindalco, Lupin and Bharti Airtel are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are M&M, HUL, ITC, Cipla and HDFC.

Stock Market Opening News & Trading Tips



Sensex, Nifty open lower on weak global cues; Coal India up
The market opened marginally lower on last day of the week following weakness across the globe. The Sensex fell 45.58 points to 26767.84 and the Nifty declined 15.80 points to 8114.85. About 223 shares have advanced, 330 shares declined, and 73 shares are unchanged on the BSE.  
Tata Motors, Tata Steel, Axis Bank, ITC, Vedanta, HCL Technologies, Bosch and ACC lost 0.8-1.4 percent while Coal India topped the buying list on Sensex, up 3 percent. Bharti Airtel, GAIL, Dr Reddy's Labs, Sun Pharma, Idea Cellular, Lupin and BPCL gained 0.4-1.4 percent.
Nestle tanked 4 percent as Tamil Nadu, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat and Uttarakhand joined Delhi to impose a temporary ban on Maggi noodles.
The Indian rupee has opened flat at 64.01 per dollar today against previous day's closing value of 64 a dollar. The currency immediately showed some recovery in early trade, up 6 paise at 63.94 a dollar.
