Stock Market Closing Bell




Sensex falls 661 pts post RBI policy, monsoon forecast cut
Equity benchmarks shed more than 2 percent after teh Reserve Bank of India raised inflation forecast for January 2016 and Met Department cut monsoon forecast.The Sensex was down 660.61 points or 2.37 percent at 27188.38, and the Nifty fell 196.95 points or 2.34 percent to 8236.45.

About 828 shares have advanced, 1860 shares declined, and 145 shares are unchanged.
State Bank of India, Axis Bank, Hindalco Industries, ITC, Hero Motocorp and IndusInd Bank topped the selling list on Nifty, down 4 percent. Lupin and Bharti Airtel bucked the trend, up marginally.

Stock Market Closing News Live Updates— Sensex up 303 pts, Nifty ends below 8600;



The market staged spectacular performance on first day of the financial year 2015-16. The Sensex rallied 302.65 points or 1.08 percent to 28260.14 and the Nifty climbed 95.25 points or 1.12 percent to 8586.25. Banks led the market higher ahead of RBI policy next week.
 About 2006 shares have advanced, 697 shares declined, and 161 shares are unchanged on the BSE.
Sun Pharma, Tata Motors, SBI, ICICI Bank, Hindalco Industries, PNB, IndusInd Bank, Yes Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank surged 2-5 percent.  
 Shares of Zuari Agro Chemicals, Madras Fertiliser, FACT, NFL, Pipavav Defence and SpiecJet rallied 4-12 percent.

Stock Market Closing Bell—Sensex, Nifty end lower



The market ended lower dragged mostly by capital goods and FMCG stocks. The Sensex is down 208.59 points or 0.7 percent at 28261.08. The Nifty is down 63.75 points or 0.7 percent at 8570.90. About 770 shares have advanced, 2104 shares declined, and 168 shares are unchanged.
Only IT index ended in green. Wipro, Infosys, Coal India, Dr Reddy's Labs and TCS are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are NTPC, ICICI Bank, BHEL, M&M and GAIL.

Live Stock Tips Alert: Sensex, Nifty under pressure



The market opened lower on Friday following weakness in global peers. The Sensex fell 126.80 points to 28342.87 and the Nifty declined 43.30 points to 8591.35.
About 470 shares have advanced, 576 shares declined, and 107 shares are unchanged on the BSE.
Wipro, Sun Pharma, Tata Power, Coal India, Cipla, Lupin and Dr Reddy's Labs gained 0.5-1 percent. However, NTPC tanked 7 percent as the stock adjusted for debentures bonus issue. Tata Motors, HDFC, M&M, GAIL and Grasim lost 0.7-1.5 percent.
 The Indian rupee opened flat at 62.51 per dollar today against previous day's closing value of 62.52 a dollar.
The dollar rose broadly as investors remain bullish on the greenback, it is currently above the 99 mark.
