Stock Market Opening Bell & Recommendations— Sensex, Nifty flat; HCL, Infosys, SBI decline

The market has opened on a flat note. The Sensex fell 37.28 points to 27920.21 and the Nifty declined 21 points to 8470. About 380 shares have advanced, 249 shares declined, and 79 shares are unchanged on the BSE.  
SBI, Infosys, Hindalco Industries, Wipro, GAIL, HCL Technologies and NMDC fell 1-2.5 percent while Dr Reddy's Labs, TCS, ONGC, NTPC, Sesa Sterlite, Tech Mahindra and Kotak Mahindra gained 0.3-2 percent. 
The currency market is closed today on account of banks' holiday.
 Among global markets, in the US equities closed lower, giving up most of Monday's gains, as investors eyed mixed economic data and the end of the first quarter.
 In Asia, cautious sentiment also prevailed after a weaker-than-expected reading of sentiment among Japanese corporates.
Stock recommendation for 1/4/2015 is Beml ltd. In today’s trading session it was up by 2.85%. Its long term trend is up. On daily chart it has given upside breakout. Stochastic and RSI has also given buying confirmation. On daily chart its short term support level is 1075. All the indicators are suggesting that one can go for long position in this stock above 1110 levels. The stock may test level of 1150-1170 in coming days.

Live Morning Stock Market News &Trading Tips



The S&P BSE Sensex mirrored global market and opened on a weak note led by losses in metals, auto and banks. According to dealers, the market is likely to consolidate after 8-day upmove and ahead of the January F&O series expiry. 
The Sensex declined 5.32 points to 29565.72 and the Nifty slipped 7.75 points to 8902.75 despite weak global cues.
"Indices could appear tired at least at start. After closing above the 8,900 mark, the Nifty could take a break. With ECB and Greece behind us, the focus now will be on what the Federal Reserve has to say today," said IIFL report
Tata Motors and Tata Steel falls over a percent while Maruti gained more than 1.5 percent.
The Indian rupee fell marginally in early trade today. The currency has opened at 61.50 a dollar, down 11 paise compared to previous day's closing value of 61.39 a dollar.

Stock Market Open Flat Today
Equity benchmarks opened flat on Thursday, the expiry day for November series derivative contracts. The Sensex fell 13.62 points to 28372.57 and the Nifty declined 3.55 points to 8472.20.
About 491 shares have advanced, 215 shares declined, and 24 shares are unchanged on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
 Tata Power, NTPC, Sun Pharma, Gail India, M&M, Asian Paints, BPCL and ACC gained 0.6-1 percent while ITC, ONGC, Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel, Dr Reddy's Labs and DLF lost 0.7-1.7 percent.
The Indian rupee opened marginally higher at 61.80 per dollar today compared to 61.84 a dollar on Wednesday.
Today Stock Recommendation:
Stock recommendation for 27/11/2014 is M&M ltd. In today’s trading session it was up by 1.28%. Its long term trend is up.
All the indicators are suggesting that one can go for long position in this stock above 1280 level. The stock may test level of 1310-1350 in coming days.
